I would like to say, right up front, before i start sharing with you the photos of this perfect wedding day, that every wedding is unique. That is why it never gets old or tiring or monotonous =) And on this day a girl from Panama and a boy for Lancaster County Pa joined their hearts for forever.  From the vows to the smiles to the pretty pretty details.... it just couldn't have been much better for these two.

Here it is in their own words.

Just over a year ago, our story began. Two people brought

together by God’s grace — now ready to begin our lives

anew, celebrating all the special joys that love can bestow.

What began as a simple friendship at our church has

blossomed into a special bond between two cultures, two

families and two worlds. We are so excited to share our

story with you as we begin a new journey as husband and

wife. We bring together the best of two cultures, bound by

the desire to do what we love the most — helping others,

serving our Savior, cherishing each day together. Please

join us for our special day of love and new blessings.

 

Eli & Yauri: May God grant you all of the desires of both of your hearts. We loved being a part of your wedding day. The two of you make a beautiful couple for sure!!

We have a nice amount of time to get some beautiful bridal shots before the wedding.

Loved how much natural lighting we had to work with.

In Panama it is tradition for the bride's mother to bring her bouquet to her.

Eli & Yauri had an amazing set of vows written for each other.

Sometimes laughing other times crying - they read them to each other. Here is snippets of both:

Yarui, there was a time that I thought marriage wasn’t for me, that I was not good enough for
anyone. I kept seeing all my friends getting married to their wonderful friends.
And more and more I thought “This just isn’t for me.” So I thought “OK, I’ll just prepare myself
to be a bachelor”. But I I did’t like the sound of that either.
I’m grateful that someone told me that I’m a nice person and that God will have someone for
me because that got me thinking that maybe there is someone who would be good for me and
maybe I could be lucky enough to meet that woman.
So, I started praying more and letting it in God’s hands that, in time, He would connect me with
someone ....like this lady standing right here in front of me.

Eli, I want to tell you that I promise to love you forever. I will never give you reason to doubt.
I will keep it in my heart and remind you that you were the miracle in my life when nothing
seemed to be going right. God brought you into my life as an angel who will take care of me
forever.
You will always be my man – my best friend, and my love. With God by our side, Eli, I promise
to love you, to honor you, to cherish and encourage you.
I love you with all my heart.

This adorable one-of-a-kind cake topper  by Mayte's cake country of Panama.

Yauri had incredible details at her wedding! The whole day revolved around family and friends and just showed exactly how big-hearted this couple is. There was so much dancing and laughter and smiles and hugs. And did i mention dancing?! This bride could dance!!!!

This bridal party was so fun. And pretty - Loved spending time with them.

I have the honor of photographing so many great people.

When it's my family i feel extra honored to be on the shooting end.

This is my cousin Lorene and her beautiful brood.

On "the home farm"- which means a lot to her and me and our moms.

Many memories here and still one of my favorite spots in the world.

In the background making everyone laugh, smile, and be themselves is my favorite person in the world

(And one of the greatest dogs, too!)

I love when they can come with me.... Sadly none of the photos of them were shareable.. HA !

Afterwards, we went back to the Stoltzfus' ( they are so hospitable ) for root beer floats and other really delicious snacks AND

we got  some really cool shots of Sierra and her horse.  It was incredible to me how she could jump

on that thing with no saddle and not a care in the world. She loves horses. Always has. And she is really good with em, too!

Last year, Di Images gave a number of tickets to be auctioned off at fundraisers.

It's such a small way to help out ... and in this case the auction was for a little boy ( a nephew to one of my best friends)

who needed an organ transplant.  This little family bought the ticket at the auction and wanted to use it for their little boy's 1 year

birthday pictures. What a great idea!!  The celebration of children never grows old =)

It is no small task for a mother to get pictures of her one year old. These parents did a fantastic job with patience and

interacting with Baby D to get some great shots on camera!

(loved the choice of outfit colors!)

He had a ton of little expressions and i love the way small children find that tiniest object and try to pick it up

with their index finger. Too cute! His teeth are coming in and he can walk pretty good. Big milestones for a little

guy his age.

Rachel Rachel Rachel

I'm so glad to have met you- I'm so honored to have been able to be a part of your photography life if only for a tiny tiny bit. This girl has got talent. I am so excited to see where she goes in her career. She is just starting out- working hard to build her dreams. Babysitting by day plus being a mother is not easy... I admire you so much, Rachel. Do not give up! You are well on your way to being successful. Rachel and I met on a beautiful summer night in the Wi-Fi room which i had never entered before. It's cozy. Has my favorite hint of orange  style. And a balcony. Perfect for us. =)

Rachel wanted to learn to shoot in manual mode and also to go over the how to of weddings.

I brought documents for her to look over and also emailed her a copy of the ones i use. She can tweak those to make them her own. She is also planning to follow Di Images on a wedding day of her choice... I'm hoping to take her to Goggle-works, Reading in November for assistant and second shooter, Julie's wedding! Nikon & Canon-two opposing forces to be reckoned with in the photographer's world. I don't know Nikon cameras at all. But i know people who shoot with them and the settings and results are the same (it's a matter of knowing how to find them :/ ). Rachel knew her camera inside and out and learned in a jiffy.
