Pardon me, while i show WAY too many photos of this beautiful beautiful day.

These two have a home in Lancaster City and they are doing a mighty fine job of cleaning it up

and re-doing rooms and making it their home.

The new house was the perfect backdrop for the girls getting ready- and the First Look- Which was a classic.

I love first looks. This one was so so so sweet.

This bride was over-the-top excited for her wedding day.

Every tiny thing was making her smile and giggle and laugh.

She was so much fun to follow around! =)

    THEIR STORY:

We met at Lancaster Bible school 2013.    We didn't get to
know each other very well there, but kept running into each other
after that.  We started talking and spent a few times together as
"just friends ",and then realized we connected on a spiritual level.
After a lot of talking and hashing things out, we started a dating
    relationship.
We made some of the best memories traveling together ; one
of those being the bridge run in Charleston, SC.   He proposed to me on
the beach there, which took me by surprise, but I was very happy to
say yes.   We then planned our wedding in the next 6 months.

    DETAILS:
We had Ruth Fisher as our caterer, rentals came from Kasey Martin in
Ephrata and Marlana Hahn.  I loved my flowers; Sharon Beiler did an
excellentjob of arranging them.   I was also able to rent table
clothes and chairs covers from Sharon.
We designed our own invitations and programs.   Gettting
stuff printed out at office max saved us a lot of money.   My sisters
and i filled little bags with cappuccino mix for our favors.   I
wanted cappuccino because of my love for coffee.    Steve's sister,
Abby, is very creative with food and she did the cupcakes for our
dessert table.     Michelle Horst made my dress.    Carolyn did an
awesome job as my coordinator.   Because i don't enjoy decorating,
her and a few of my other friends did all the decor for my
wedding....I helped pick out the stuff we used but i was so happy not
    to arrange it.

STEVE & KRISTA: Your wedding was beautiful. Just seeing the photos makes me smile =)

And the pictures of the food make me hungry!

Thank you for having us. We had a really great time.

    Diane. Angie. Valerie

  • Baby A

    5K9A0188_WEB

    And her beautiful parents.

This sweet baby girl entered the world -

perfect. So far as the doctors could tell. And then she started having some big problems.

To everyone's surprise. And of course, to no one's ease, comfort, or happiness.

Life is like that. Mommy and Daddy are keeping their eyes on their little baby.

Making sure she gets all the care she needs.

Trusting God in the toughest of times.

Not knowing what tomorrow holds but trusting in His promises today.

And loving her to pieces every day in between.

  • Curvin & Rosy : Wedding : King Barn Reception

    9.20.14

I love to hear about the emotion and hard work that goes into a wedding day.

All the planning and preparing. It has everything to do with the final day but so many people don't get to see it.

We just see the beauty of the end result.

Rosy described for me exactly what i wanted to know about their big day.

Here it is... Her words mixed with mine to give you a glimpse and perhaps help you to plan  your big day ;)

    THEIR STORY:

"We met approximately 4 1/2 years ago through one of my best friends.

We started hanging out with the same group of friends and in January 2011 Curvey asked me out!

Our love for the outdoors brought us closer together.

Time flew by and many memories were made.

Then in April at a Baltimore Orioles / Boston Red Sox game, he asked me to marry him, which of course,

I was more than happy to agree to!

We based our wedding theme on our shared passion for hunting and the outdoors!

I found the perfect invitations on Zazzle.com.

Curvey designed the programs with the software he uses to program his laser engraving machine.

(The song we chose to sing as a congregation was sung at our 5 year old cousin's funeral after he was fatally injured in a gun accident several years ago.)"

Everyone sang together "We Have This Moment" - It was beautiful.

"He also built the cake stand and the guest book stand with ideas off of Pinterest and our own personal touch.

One sunny afternoon Curvey and I built the trellis that was over the cake table.

The large trellis over the bridal table was put together by my brother, Eddy Nolt,

and one of the groomsmen, Kenny Martin. In their spare time they put it together at Kenny's farm.

The day before the wedding, my two brothers, Eddy and Junior, and also Curvey took it apart as it was too large to transport,

and put it back together in the barn. Curvey also built the bridal table platform 'to put us a notch above the rest!' "

"The flowers and pine branches on the table were done by Jo Burkholder.

She also did the branches and bows on the end of the pews, and then was the coordinator on the day of the wedding!

I found my dress at Country Threads by Gail in Manheim.

The bridesmaids dresses were sewn by Darlene Sensenig. Tuxedos were rented from Men's Wearhouse..

The cake and cupcakes were baked and decorated by Sandy (I'm not sure of her last name anymore! ).

Also, the bowls on the bridal table with pebbles, water, and floating candles were not originally going to have fish in them,

but my parents bought some and put them in without our knowledge! Their way of inserting a bit of humor!"

"Curvey liked the idea of a sand pouring ceremony, but we wanted to be different so we came up with planting a

tree together to fit our theme!

(When we researched it, we found more people did it too!)

We chose a dogwood tree, as it's been told that it's the kind of tree Jesus was crucified on,

altho there's no proof anywhere in the Bible! (That was to symbolize Him being the center of our marriage.)

The tree was given to us as a wedding gift by Elam & Arlene Sauder, friends of both our parents,

    and founders of Sauder's Nursery."

This was something i had never seen before or heard of. The planting of the tree by both sets of parents putting dirt in and

watering it and placing the tree. Later at the reception the bride and groom watered the tree before they left as well.

It was no secret that these two share a love of hunting and dogs and the outdoors. I LOVE how they

incorporated that into their wedding day! It was beautiful. All the handmade things were carved and nailed to perfection.

And everything held a personal yet professional feel to it.

Curv and Rosy: Thank you for inviting us to spend the day with you. We loved being there and had

a great time. It was an honor to be a witness into your lives, celebrating with you, and also getting to know your families just a little bit

better. You planned a day that celebrated the two of you so well! May these next few days

and years carry endless joy as you settle into living your lives together.

(P.S. I have been getting a lot of requests about vendors and venues.

If you see something in our photos that you would like to replicate in your wedding do not be shy about asking us where it comes from or how you can get in touch with someone to help you :)
